Plot – The distant planet Krypton is about to be destroyed by a terrible explosion. Hoping to save his race, Yor El, one of the members of the Supreme Council of the planet, sends a rocket to Planet Earth with his new-born son: Superman. Mr and Mrs Kent, an elderly farming couple, adopt the alien, raise him as a human and keep his origins hidden. On the death of his adoptive father, Superman moves to New York and gets hired as a reporter at the Daily Planet.
