Plot – The war has ended few hours ago, but an American sergeant is unaware of it and kills a German soldier. During World War II the sergeant joins the department called 'The Big Red One', whose members are legendary and brave soldiers. The platoon makes honor from Tunisia to Sicily, from Normandy to Belgium and in Czechoslovakia they enter a Nazi concentration camp. Here the sergeant faces again a German soldier and shoots him, but this time he strives to save him.
