Plot – Beth Cappadora is happily married with Pat and has two children, Vincent and Ben. She travels to Chicago with her family to attend a meeting with her former high school classmates. Her hotel lobby is crowded and the woman leaves for a moment her children alone, but when she comes back Ben is disappeared and Vincent doesn't know where his brother is. As the police can't find Ben, Beth's life is no longer the same. Nine years later, Sam shows up at Cappadora's front door and Beth suddently recognizes her disappeared son in him. The identikit made over the years confirms he's Ben indeed. Beth and Pat visits George, Sam's father, who's aware of their story but reveals he has married an unbalanced woman who had a little kid. Beth recognizes her as a high school friend who was present at that reunion ans she's sure she kidnapped Ben. Now Ben is 12 and moves with his real family, but firstly he doesn't feel Beth and Pat like parents, so Beth takes Ben back to George. Meanwhile Vincent feels himself as the real culprit because that day his mother entrusted him his little brother but he didn't take care of him. A few days later, Ben shows up to play basketball with Vincent and that very night he tells his elder brother he will sleep at home with them all.
