Plot – Paul Edgecomb tells his friend Elaine Connelly the story of the Green Mile during an evening at the nursing home where they live. Sixty years ago, he worked as head of the guards at Cold Mountain Penitentiary. During the Great Depression, four killers were waiting to serve their sentence there, but John Coffey was very unique, as he was a black guy sentenced to death for the murder of two girls. Coffey was a huge man and his appearence made people think he could kill anyone, but his behaviour wasn't the one of a killer. He was simple and naive and he was scared by the dark too. Was he really a murderer? During that period, Edgecomb discovered that sometimes miracles happen even in the most unexpected places.
