Plot – Annie Laird, a single mother who lives with her 12-year-old son and carves odd wooden surprise boxes, is chosen for jury duty in the trail of mafia boss Louie Boffano, who is accused of murder. It is precisely because of her determination that the New York Mafia decides to coerce her, using the collaboration of a man called the "Master", a smart attractive expert in a thousand tricks.
