Plot – Gregory is a Columbia University math professor who has had a series of passionate relationships, until he decides to look only for friendship and mutual respect. He puts an ad and Rose answers him. She hasn't found the right man yet and still lives with her old mother. When they meet they find to have many things in common and shortly after they marry. The intellectual passion will replace physical attraction and the situation works until Rose thinks it's time to change. Gregory opposes and travels to Europe to participate to some conferences, while Rose gives herself a provocative and feminine look. When Gregory returns, he rejects her. As Alex breaks his relationship with Claire, Rose's sister, he tries to start a new one with Rose, while Gregory tries to regain ground rushing to Rose's house and declaring his love.
