Plot – Frank Drebin, a bumbling police lieutenant, is honored in Washington by President Bush for having killed the thousandth drug dealer. He receives the task together with Captain Ed Hocken to discover who's the perpetrator of the bomb attack at the institute of Dr. Albert S. Meinheimer, a scientist in charge of planning the new energy policy of the United States. Thanks to the testimony of the fascinating Jane Spencer, a former Frank's girlfriend and the current Director of Public Relations of Meinheimer, Drebin manages to identify Quentin Hapsburg, a rich and ambiguous man. In the meantime, with the complicity of some oil, electricity and nuclear power's tycoons, Hapsburg kidnaps Meinheimer and puts an alter ego in his place. After several clumsy attempts, Drebin manages to free the scientist and to unmask Hapsburg. Rewarded again by Bush, Frank can finally marry Jane.
