Plot – Griffin Mill is a film studio director who spends many hours seeking projects to transform into movies. The man is studded with threatening messages. When he finds the author, he doesn't hesitate to put an end to them. Not satisfied, he mocks the man's girlfriend too, leaving apart his secretary-lover Bonnie. Meanwhile Larry Levy, another careerist and an eternal rival of Griffin, tries in every way to take his place. Despite the efforts of Detective Susan Avery to solve the murder case, she's mocked. Mill remains unpunished. The world of cinema continues to dictate its greedy and brutal laws, giving job, power and money to sly and cynical people. The dream factory is in turn full of screenplay writers who agree to every compromise. Among them, the evil unknown messages' author goes on haunting Griffin Mill.
