Plot – In New York Methodist preacher Henry Biggs has always been passionate about his work. He is now going through a crisis and he thinks he is not able to handle the problems given him by his community and his family – his wife Julia, his young son and his mother-in-law. Dudley, a black angel, suddenly arrives and gradually settles in his house, announcing that he wants to help him overcome his difficulties. Dudley is very generous, but his interventions often create more confusion than before. Henry's crisis gets deeper when on one side he has to face the evil speculator Joe, who has bought the church property and wants to demolish it to build a larger complex with various facilities, and on the other he sees Julia's interest in Dudley, with whom she goes out at night, goes to clubs and finds her lost passion for singing, which for years she has been doing only at her husband's church. With Christmas fast approaching, Dudley realizes that it is time to patch things up and leave Earth. So he does, and peace returns to the small community.
All actors – Denzel Washington, Whitney Houston, Courtney B. Vance, Gregory Hines, Jenifer Lewis, Loretta Devine, Justin Pierre Edmund, Lionel Richie, Paul Bates, Lex Monson, Darvel Davis Jr., William James Stiggers Jr.
