Plot – The life of the shy teenager Mia Thermopolis from San Francisco suddenly changes when she finds out that she's a real princess, heir of the small European principality of Genovia. Mia begins a long journey toward her throne with her strict grandmother, Queen Clarisse, who gives her 'lessons of royalty'. Soon the two women get into an argument. The queen would like Mia to abandon the life she has always been living to focus on the difficult task that awaits her. However, the young woman doesn't want to leave her best friend Lilly and, above all, Michael, the guy she's falling in love with little by little. The reluctant princess is forced to make a very difficult choice.
