(1990)Plot – During the '80s the Soviet Union lives perestrojka, meanwhile a British representative called Nicki Landau is given by Katya Orlova three notebooks and a letter he has to deliver secretly to a British publisher, Barley Blair. As Nicki returns to London, he doesn't find the man and gives everything to the British Secret Services. On the notebooks, there are scientific data which make Russia unable to start a nuclear war. Therefore the armament adopted by Westerners is useless. In the meantime, Barley, who's devoted to jazz music and alcohol, claims to British and American agents he doesn't know Katya.
