Plot – Viktor Navorski travels from Eastern Europe to New York. During the flight his country is attacked by a coup d'etat and at his arrival in USA the man is stuck at Kennedy Airport because his passport is declared invalid. Viktor then is forced to stay at the terminal as long as the war in his country is over. Weeks become months and Viktor finds out how the airport's reality is a complex world of absurdities, generosity, ambition, amusement and even romanticism.
