Plot – In Washington, Barbara Rose wants to separate from her husband Oliver after eighteen years of marriage. Her husband has given her everything a woman could want, but he has never taken care of his wife's individuality. Reluctantly Oliver asks to Gavin D'Amato, a friend and a lawyer, to handle the divorce. From this moment on a relentless war begins between them: nobody wants to leave the house in which they have lived. Forced to live apart in the same house, they limit their "personal" areas with a coloured map and continue to challenge each other with atrocious jokes, resentments, revenge, malice and mutual hatred.
All actors – Michael Douglas, Kathleen Turner, Danny DeVito, Marianne Sägebrecht, Sean Astin, Heather Fairfield, G.D. Spradlin, Peter Donat, Dan Castellaneta, Gloria Cromwell, Harlan Arnold, Mary Fogarty
