Plot – After her father was killed by a gunman named Tom Chaney, 14-year-old Mattie Ross decides to have her revenge. To get help, she hires the toughest Marshall of the West, Reuben J. 'Rooster' Cogburn, a rough and difficult man who reluctantly agrees to let Mattie accompany him on the manhunt for the killer. They are then joined by a Texas Ranger named LaBoeuf, who has been chasing Chaney for a long time.
