(1989)Plot – Scott Turner is a serious and efficient policeman who's going to be transferred to a big city, but he learns his friend Amos Reed, a senior owner of a scrap warehouse, has been murdered. Amos' faithful dog is still standing beside the corpse and Turner isn't on good terms with it, but the dog is alone and he brings it at home. Immediately the dog causes many damages in his very tidy apartment. Thanks to the mastiff, however, Turner starts a happy love story with Emily Carson, a veterinary. Meanwhile the investigations continue and Turner discovers Walter Boyett, a wealthy fish industrialist, owns a warehouse just next to Amos' one. The agent believes Hooch is able to recognize the murderer as the dog pursues Zac Gregory, a Boyett's employee. Scott finally discovers Amos has been killed because he found out Boyett's shady traffics whose partner was Hyde, the local police commander.
