(2020)Plot – Uncle Frank is a heartwarming movie set in 1973, all about family, secrets and how sometimes it is difficult to be your true self. We meet 18-year old Beth Bledsoe who moves from Creekville, her rural South Carolina hometown, to attend college in New York City where her Uncle Frank is a literature professor. He is the relative she feels closest to and very soon she discovers that Frank is secretly gay and has been living with a man named Walid (“Wally”) for over ten years. After Frank's father dies, they are forced to return to their hometown and now Frank has to face his childhood trauma all over again.
