Plot – Caroline is a waitress in a Minneapolis fast food restaurant. She seems extroverted, ambitious and intelligent. She loves spending time with customers and constantly argues with her co-worker Cindy. However, her bold attitude is only appearance. Adam, who works in the same fast-food restaurant, is in love with Caroline. He is a nice guy, but a bit strange, and shyly admires Caroline while she moves about the restaurant. Every night he follows her home to make sure she gets there safely, but he is too shy to tell her how he feels about her. Adam has a secret, which makes him keep his distance from others, but Caroline is not like the others. She knows a lot about broken hearts and Adam's needs to be taken care of.
