Plot – The 11-years-old Dawn Wiener is the second-born of a Jewish family. She attends a normal school in a small town in New Jersey. Although she struggles to be understood, Dawn tries to have an open mind and to live cheerfully, while trying to overcome an apparently never-ending puberty. Dawn is ugly, she wears thick glasses and terrible clothes. Her parents prefer Missy, who is always flawless in her cute pink dress. Dawn’s only friend is the thug Brandon, who constantly threatens to "rape" her but, after all, he is not so bad.
