Plot – Jack Conroy arrives in Alaska to take possession of the gold mine his father has left him. In a village of hunters Jack meets Alex Larson, a friend of his father, and together they go to the mine on a long journey. Their dogs are constantly threatened by wolves and among them there's an abandoned puppy. An old Indian, Grey Beaver, rescues it and names the puppy White Fang. In a mining town, Jack and Alex meet a certain Smith, who organizes dog fights. He obtains White Fang and trains it. When White Fang is left dying after a fight, Jack takes it and the animal heals. The two diggers then discover an excellent quality of gold and Alex decides to go to S. Francisco to buy a hotel, while Jack remains with White Fang.
