Plot – Homeland is an American espionage thriller television series based on the Israeli series Prisoners of War. The show follows Carrie Mathison, a bipolar CIA operative who becomes convinced a prisoner of war has been turned by al-Qaeda and is planning to carry out a terrorist attack on American soil. Nicholas Brody, a U.S. Marine Sergeant, is rescued after being held hostage since 2003. While Brody is received home as a war hero, Carrie goes to any lengths necessary to catch him.
